A flashing warning light indicates that a problem has been detected in the TPMS. Common problems include a bad pressure sensor (shown in the opening photo), a defective keyless-entry receiver module, a fault in the TPMS or body control module (BCM), or wiring problems in the keyless-entry/TPMS/BCM circuit.

If you have an aftermarket wheel that will not accept your C5/C6's valve-stem-mounted wheel sensor, don't despair. The sensor can be mounted on the inside center of the wheel, similar to the C4 configuration. Some aftermarket companies, such as Forgeline, offer a bracket system if you don't want to use epoxy on your sensors.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System Installing Tpms
The C5 and C6 wheel sensors have a built-in valve stem inserted from the inside of the wheel through a hole in the rim. It's retained by a nut and sealed with a grommet. Each sensor contains its own lithium battery with a design life of 10 years.
