C6 Coilover Suspension - Coiled To Strike
Since the LG coilovers utilize spherical bearings, LG supplies upper shock mounts for the rears, which must be mounted to the car's upper shock mounting points.
With that done, the shock can be slid into place. Install the included bolts and spacers as shown. A jackstand will make it easier to install the lower mounting bolt.
Here's a look at the right rear corner at full sag. Notice how little suspension droop the LG coilovers allow. This helps keep the car planted to the ground over sharp rises.
Moving on to the rear sway bar, remove the bushings...
...then the bar itself.
The GMPP T1 bars are supplied with new bushings, but the bushing brackets must be reused.
The big 27mm T1 sway bar (top) makes the Z51 bar look rather limp-wristed. These things are stiff!
The supplied T1 end links have a reputation for making a lot of noise. LG's Quiet Links use heavy-duty rod ends with a stainless-steel ball and Teflon-lined races to eliminate the racket. These adjustable links work equally well on stock or T1 sway bars.
The latest iteration of T1 rear bars offers three end-link mounting positions, allowing the user to tune the bar for more or less understeer or oversteer.
Tightening the bushing fasteners completes the installation of the rear bar.
Moving to the front of the car, remove the bushing brackets and the end links. The sway bar can then be removed.
Now you can unbolt the lower shock mounts. This will allow the suspension to reach full droop.
