C6 Coilover Suspension - Coiled To Strike
As with the rear, you can now remove the spring mounting brackets.
Support the spindle, brake, and upper control arm and then disconnect the lower ball joint.
This will allow the lower control arm sufficient droop for you to pull the leaf spring out. With that done, the lower ball joint can be reassembled.
Next, remove the fastener from the upper shock mount.
The front shocks can then be removed.
Because of the spherical bearings employed by the LG coilovers, the fronts require a mount similar to the rears.
Now the front coilovers can be installed.
Tighten the upper shock mount to its mounting point...
...and do the same with the lower shockmounting hardware.
If you thought the rear T1 bar was large, you'll be amazed at the size of the 38mm front bar. Consider body roll a thing of the past.
Remember to pull the stock mounting brackets off of the OEM sway-bar bushings and then lift the T1 bar into place.
Mount the bushing brackets and the LG Quiet Links and you're done. Well, almost. We'll cover ride height setup and corner weighting in a future installment.
