Here is the intake side of the same head after I got it back from Extrude Hone. The one thing that you'll notice is a very smooth finish. With a fuel-injected engine this is no problem since you have dry air until the fuel injector. You'll also notice how much larger the port is. This means that you can push a larger volume of air down the port, but at a lower velocity. When you give up velocity for added volume, you could easily lose torque.
