This is the new ACCEL intake manifold. The passages are slightly different from the others on the market, which some folks feel gives you more power. There are actually three different castings of this manifold on the market. You can select from Edelbrock, TPIS, and ACCEL. I had this manifold opened up to match the cylinder heads. All the ports are very smooth. If this were a carbureted engine, the smoothness might be a problem, as the gas could drop out of the air/fuel mixture. In a fuel-injected engine this isn't much of a problem since you have dry air until the fuel injector adds the gasoline, which it does fairly close to the intake valve. View Related Article
