The first order of business is to remove the door panel. Remember to remove that pesky screw behind the door handle as well as those in the door handle grab area, and to disconnect the appropriate wire harnesses before yanking the panel off. As we stated earlier, it may be possible to reach through the opening (arrow) to access the inside of the door handle. We decided to remove the inner mounting plate and door lock mechanism for easier access. You'll need to remove eight sheetmetal screws and two bolts on the inner panel.along with three No. 15 Torx bolts on the edge of the door.
