Chevrolet has officially released the 2014 Premiere Edition Corvette Stingray to the public today at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The reveal was part of an event to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Corvette production.

There will be only 500 2014 Premiere Edition Corvette Stingray Coupes produced, and all will be top-of-the-line 3LT models complete with Laguna Blue Tintcoat exterior and Brownstone suede interior. The interior trim will be wrapped in suede and the interior will also be outfitted with a carbon-fiber package.

The new Premiere Edition Corvette also features a visible carbon fiber roof, variable tuned performance exhaust system, and the Z51 Performance Package with Magnetic Selective Ride Control. A "stinger" hood stripe, along with "Stingray"-logo interior sill plates and wheel caps give the Vette an even more unique appearance. Custom Corvette-branded luggage from Thule is also included with the purchase.

Premier Edition models will each be assigned a unique vehicle identification number, starting with 300001, and come complete with an exclusive dash plaque commemorating the limited-edition model.

No word yet on how much it will cost to own one of these beauties, but check back for more information as it becomes available.
