Introduced at the 2010 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show, held last November in Las Vegas, the Corvette Z06X Concept showcases how racing hobbyists can use Chevrolet's expanding portfolio of performance parts to create a full-on track car. Chevy teamed with Pratt & Miller, which oversees Corvette Racing's American Le Mans Series effort, to create it.

The Z06X concept is based on a Corvette Z06 outfitted with the 1LZ equipment package, the Z07 Performance Package, and the CFZ Carbon Fiber Package. In addition to these factory-available features, it boasts a number of competition-oriented modifications. The radio, carpeting, and sound-deadening material have also been removed. Look for more info on the Z06X in an upcoming issue.
