Delgado's band fares better, belting out a glitch-free set that includes the Rolling Stones' "Jumpin' Jack Flash" and "Satisfaction," along with a version of the Troggs/Hendrix classic "Wild Thing." When the last chord sounds, he and the rest of the campers take up their accustomed place in the audience, where they bask in the warm afterglow of adrenaline and swap stories of the day's adventures until the headliners hit the stage at 9:00. And if the evening's brief performance is as close as any of them ever get to rock superstardom, that's OK. It was only rock `n' roll, after all, but they liked it.
