Side by side, the LS6 blocks (left) and LS1 blocks are easily identified by color and crankcase ventilation provisions. Note the ventilation hole above the rear main on the LS1 block, which isn't found on the LS6 block. The LS6 block has a more intricate crankcase ventilation system inside the block.
