Number 14 threw its serpentine belt a couple of times, causing it to overheat. That ultimately led to the head gaskets failing after 112 laps. It finally ended up in the garage for keeps with a variety of drivetrain problems. Team drivers John Heinricy, Bill Lester, Jeff Nowicki, and R.K.
